The Director of Digital Marketing operates within Shinola’s Marketing team, reporting to the VP of Marketing, to manage the strategy and oversight of all digital media execution. A performance-driven background with eCommerce experience is necessary for success. Data-driven analysis to prove impact and guide future ideas for test-and-learn will be a key function of this role. In this role, you will make significant contributions to the growth of the company by being adaptable to business goals that will require a mindset of optimizing to both scale and efficiency. A motivated candidate with a passion for digital and continued learning will have meaningful value to the team and future growth opportunities within the organization.
Responsibilities
Potential initiatives for this new role may include, but are not limited to:
- Lead digital marketing initiatives including SEO, SEM, email marketing, digital partnerships, paid
advertising, and social media - Identify most effective and efficient ways of acquiring new high-value customers through sophisticated
targeting approaches, such as 1st party data segments and audience modeling - Responsible for driving web traffic, customer engagement, and click through, and driving e-commerce
sales - Develop and execute CRM touch points to acquire new customers and improve customer retention
strategies - Enhance and execute Shinola’s e-commerce strategy, ensuring that the digital customer experience
aligns with the brand’s voice and values - Support measurement through attribution modeling, market performance data, marketing mix
models, consumer segmentation, brand health/strengths relative to a competitive set and consumer
needs (i.e. Google, Adobe, Webranking) - Partner with internal teams and agency teams to align on go-to-market strategies and support
execution of work - Stay up-to-date on current and emerging trends in digital marketing, mobile marketing, technology,
fashion and ecommerce; monitor and report on competitor analysis
Qualifications
- A minimum of 6+ years of Digital Marketing experience
- In-platform experience across Google Ads, DSPs, Facebook Ads and other related media-buying
platforms - A 360 mindset for customer acquisition & retention, brand experience, encompassing a brand voice
that engages the target audience - Awareness of best practices that deliver ROI
- Strong analytical skills, both in interpreting & translating data
- Ability to pull data from various resources and translate it into trends, actionable plans, and reporting
templates - Demonstrated track record of leading brand building initiatives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; process oriented & well organized
- Ability to lead many projects simultaneously, prioritize accordingly & adhere to timelines & quality
standards - Strong work ethic, demonstrated drive, energy, creativity & ability to follow through to completion
JOB CONDITIONS:
- This role is expected to maintain regular office hours on-site.
- Work during non-business hours is to be expected in the context of specific events such as retail
events, demos and trade shows. - Some degree of travel, both domestically and internationally, is expected in support of marketing
events such as demos and trade shows
