The Marketing Strategy team is responsible for driving consumer demand and helping achieve business objectives (revenue, attendance, occupancy) for the Disneyland Resort (2 Theme Parks, 3 Hotels, Downtown Disney). The team achieves these goals by developing business and communication strategies, and partnering with cross-discipline teams to create campaigns that drive consumer behavior. The team also oversees the management of the plans to ensure each campaign or program is maximized across a wide range of marketing tactics.
The Marketing Strategy Manager will contribute to the development of priority marketing initiatives to deliver business goals for each assigned segment or area of focus. Leveraging critical thinking and team leadership skills, the Marketing Strategy Manager will guide communication planning rooted in consumer insights, exhibit sound creative judgment and drive go-to-market innovation in assigned programs.
Responsibilities :
- Drive annual business results by developing marketing programs that incorporate strategic planning, critical thinking, analytics and innovation
- Leverage consumer insights and research to provide actionable creative and strategic input to partners across the entire marketing organization
- Champion development of integrated marketing communication plans by leading cross-discipline teams
- Manage consumer direct marketing efforts targeting all key audience segments including Locals, domestic/international tourists, as well as growth segments
- Establish and maintain an understanding of marketing trends in the Travel & Leisure space
- Provide overall creative feedback to ensure flawless execution of tactics
Basic Qualifications :
- Demonstrated technical marketing skills to inspire and lead strategic input and drive innovative communication planning
- Critical thinking and the ability to succinctly frame up a verbal or written POV that influences leaders, partners and peers
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data sets
- Demonstrated ability to project manage a high-volume, fast-paced portfolio of tactical programs
- Strong and productive partnerships in and out of marketing, as well as cross-functional team leadership in a collaborative and inclusive environment
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with social media platforms, digital marketing and SEO tactics.
- Excellent written and verbal communications, plus active listening skills and superior professionalism
- Demonstrated goal orientation and agile response to evolving business needs
- 5+ years of consumer marketing experience
- Computer proficiency (Power Point, Excel, Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in multicultural and/or international marketing, language skills (Spanish, Mandarin preferred)
- Previous work experience in Brand or Consumer Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing, CPG Marketing, Advertising Account Management
Required Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or Equivalent
