SoFi is seeking a talented digital marketing leader to join the performance marketing team and help lead and manage our paid acquisition efforts. This leader will have a critical role on the performance marketing team reporting directly to the VP of Performance Marketing. You will manage and lead a team of paid digital marketers to drive and scale efficient growth across our suite of products. This role will own a wide variety of responsibilities that includes (but not limited to) search engine marketing (SEM), paid social, mobile display, programmatic display, app store optimization, and digital attribution.
What you’ll do:
Lead a team in driving efficient user acquisition through Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Paid Social, Mobile Display, Programmatic Display and other Paid Digital Marketing channels
Develop channel and optimization strategies to meet both short term and long term acquisition goals
Partner with the internal MarTech team to continuously improve our digital marketing tech stack including (but not limited to) data, reporting, measurement, targeting, bidding, and campaign automation.
Partner with the DS & Analytics team to conduct deep customer acquisition and customer behavioral analysis
Responsible for staying close to the details and driving optimal optimization decisions throughout the team
Proactively collaborate with internal stakeholders and manage external vendors.
Track, report and present campaign performance with internal stakeholders on a regular basis
Continuously identify new opportunities for campaign optimization - creative, targeting, bidding, ad copy, etc
Be an inspirational leader of the Digital Marketing team including hiring, developing, managing, coaching, and advocating for this team
Be a collaborative member of the leadership team, interweaving digital marketing into the organization’s cross-functional planning workflows
What you’ll need:
8 - 10 years of experience developing and executing digital marketing strategies that drive acquisition growth and improve ROI efficiency.
Experience managing a diverse team of digital marketers, including experts in paid search (SEM), paid social, display, and more.
Prior experience working on performance-oriented channels such as Mobile Display, Programmatic Display, Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc
Able to drive overall marketing strategies from forecasting, budgeting, planning, prioritization, campaign execution and optimization
Deep expertise in all aspects of MarTech and Marketing Data Science, including digital data, marketing attribution, media mix modeling (MMM), and campaign automation
Exceptional organizational skills and accountability. Ability to oversee multiple work streams simultaneously and equally comfortable delegating or owning tasks, no matter how big or small.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills - ability to work with large data sets in order to derive actionable campaign insights
Proven success of leveraging in-house experts as well as partnering with external agencies.
Effective communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders across the organization
Ability to work successfully in a quickly-changing environment.
