The Manager, Digital Marketing will be responsible for implementing the company’s digital marketing strategy for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. The individual in the role will be accountable for management of consumer facing websites to create demand and drive revenue for the parks. The Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders and will champion digital marketing across the company through deep expertise, earned influence and effective change management.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Support digital channel strategy to align with SEA vision for the ideal consumer experience with SEA brands across all digital touchpoints. Provide guidance to SEA marketing leadership to improve online guest experience, increase revenue performance and ensure that the level of investment is consistent with expected ROI.
- Implement SEA SEO strategy and plans to drive greater awareness, consideration, traffic and conversion for SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Sesame Place Parks.
- Review SEO metrics against expected results, measure channel effectiveness. Proactively recommend and implement changes as necessary, includes setting up correct tagging and tracking mechanisms when needed.
- Mange the day-to-day content needs of corporate websites, including loading, creating, and optimizing content for SEO and revenue needs. Coordinate with other departments to secure assets. Launch best practices from SEA optimization efforts.
- Provide input into overall digital strategy and how the SEA Brands are represented to the consumer. Partner with park marketing teams and corporate departments to align consumer facing digital channels (web, social, email, etc.) with the ideal online consumer experience. Provide updates to SEA Marketing Leadership reporting analysis of key metrics associated with core projects.
- Provide ongoing content training for park & corporate initiatives. Document best practices and share key learnings with park content authors.
- Leverage, evaluate, and evangelize meaningful/relevant content to various audiences and channels based on data insights and personalization.
- Troubleshoot CMS errors with park teams to identify solutions to decrease guest impact of website issues.
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a marketing background along with experience in digital marketing. We are seeking a candidate with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a proven ability to drive business development and outcomes using various digital marketing vehicles. The candidate must be able to manage multiple complex projects to completion while seizing emerging opportunities. Lastly, this candidate must have deep knowledge of the latest media, entertainment, and interactive trends
- 5+ years of marketing experience
- 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing or project management
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related business field; MBA or related post-graduate degree preferred.
- Experience with SiteCore or similar Content Management System, with a working knowledge of HTML, Google Analytics (or equivalent), and SEO is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to adapt communication style to a number of different audiences. Must be able to manage and prioritize diverse projects
- Must be enthusiastic, confident change-agent with ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment
