Mission:

The Senior Director, Digital Marketing is a critical leadership role on the Databricks marketing team, responsible for the strategy, execution and outcomes of integrated paid digital programs across the buyer’s journey, to drive awareness, new business, expansion and usage growth across all business segments, in support of Databricks’ explosive global growth. This leader has the vision and a track record of success scaling a function to meet business outcomes in an ultra-high growth environment. This individual is a trusted and strategic partner to other marketing leaders, and builds a high-performing team and thriving team culture, with global capabilities and processes to drive repeatable, scalable, highly efficient and predictable growth.

Outcomes:

  • Increase brand awareness, achieve or exceed acquisition of new logos and new business pipeline targets, drive expansion at existing customers and increase product usage globally through paid media channels
  • Build and evolve an integrated, global cross-channel digital strategy, processes, capabilities and insights to drive greater engagement and conversions
  • Drives significant increases in paid media contribution to global pipeline, growth in net new names from matched accounts and quarterly improvements to paid media ROI
  • Repeatable, scalable, efficient and predictable growth engine that operates at high velocity, delivering broad based and highly targeted digital programs
  • Build world class team of data-driven paid media experts who are trusted partners to marketing stakeholders on strategy, execution to deliver on business outcomes

Competencies:

  • 10+ years operating in complex, enterprise sales driven technology companies with 6+ years in B2B SaaS preferred
  • Seasoned people leader who has driven strong team alignment and culture, has functioned as a player-coach, and has a track record of hiring and managing an exceptional team
  • Has operated at large scale and high velocity, as well as deeply familiar with scrappy execution experiences
  • Deep understanding of how to drive awareness, new logos, expansion and usage via various paid media channels and integrated programs
  • Track record of taking customers/buyer pains and needs to formulate successful go-to-market strategies, developing the appropriate mix of paid and organic tactics (in partnership with other channel stakeholders) and aligning channel, content, creative and copy to deliver highly engaging digital experiences
  • Experience with scaling paid media budgets, programs, channels and teams
  • BS degree required, Masters degree preferred
