Apex Systems currently has an immediate Online Search Marketing Specialist (SEO) opening supporting one of our large Healthcare clients in the Baltimore, MD area.

This is a key role that oversees departmental and enterprise level search marketing activities, inclusive of SEO, SEM and the optimization of business listings (including hospital locations, faculty and departments). This position performs research on new techniques, technology and competitors to enhance SEM and SEO capabilities and identifies areas for improvement for an array of healthcare centric clients and service lines. The senior specialist will create strategies with prominent search engines, develop and test new keywords, manage Pay-Per-Click campaigns, analyze click-through data, conduct research and identify synergies between SEO and SEM. This person works closely with agency partners to unsure that campaigns and projects are managed effectively and optimized where necessary.  This is a direct hire role with the compensation range of $60-72,000 a year, that also amazing benefits, flexible/remote schedule and additional learning/training opportunities.   • Working knowledge of online marketing, SEO, SEM, display advertising, website reporting tools and web analytics.
  • Experience with Google Webmaster tools, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Business. Experience with Conductor Searchlight or other tools used for SEM and SEO execution
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms
  • Medical or health-related institution and Web writing experience
  • Marketing communications or corporate communications writing and editing experience
  • Working knowledge and experience using content management systems, social media tools and related web applications
  • Knowledge of HTML & CSS and specialized software such as ASP online software, CMS, Adobe Suite, GoogleDocs, SEMRush, etc.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Marketing or Communications
  • Equivalent experience and training, in digital communications, web marketing or social media, beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted on a 2:1 basis.

 Work Experience:
3-5 years’ experience in managing paid and organic search marketing campaigns.
  • A data driven approach with a solid understanding in conversion rate optimization, paid user acquisition, web analytics, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to cultivate metrics and identify meaningful trends
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to write clear, concise copy
  • Ability to produce reports, including narrative and visual elements, on demand and to produce standardized documents
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, results-driven personality
  • Ability to demonstrate capacity for innovation, idea generation and strategic thinking
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to operate independently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to manage vendors and agencies effectively
  • Strong client/customer service approach
